In the spring, I received a prize for participating in Skirt Fixation’s Adult Create Contest.  I got 4th place, and they selected a very personalized gift for me.  A gift certificate to Spoonflower.  Perfect!  I knew I wanted to create a single design to go on a tunic or dress, so I just needed time to sit down to design something.

The design above is one that I got printed.  This is printed on the Performance Piqué, which is a nice weight.  It isn’t super thick, but not really see-through either.

In hindsight I should have made the design a little smaller, so you could see all of it on the tunic.  I do like how it turned out, but more of the design would have been better.

The tunic is just a basic t-shirt pattern that I lengthened.  I drafted bishop-shaped sleeves.  The sleeves are a stretch crèpe that is nice and soft with a great drape.

It was hard to get the sides to match up, so they aren’t exactly perfect.  I should have cut the pieces a bit better.

I printed another design, as well, and I need to get that cut and sewed up now.  I really like how this one turned out, so I will likely do a similar thing with that one.

The pictures above have a color cast on them.  I am still not on my computer at home, so I had to use another program and computer to edit these.  I also have several other things to show, since I have been busy sewing.

Hopefully soon!
