Today our baby girl turns THREE!  The years have just flown by.  She has grown from that cute little bundle in the hospital to our big three year old girl.  She’s got a great sense of humor and loves to laugh.  I think she has quite a few friends in her daycare class, and one little man is quite smitten with her.  Whenever he sees her, he wants to hug her.  She finds this to be a tad annoying and evades him when she sees him.  😉

She talks up a storm and will have some very serious conversations with you, noted by how wide she puts her eyes and how serious she talks.  That’s pretty serious. 😉  She has evaded my tendency to say “nope” and “yeah” and usually is quite severe on her eloqution of “yes” and “no”.  In fact, she uses, “NO”, quite frequently.

Right now she is definitely acting like a three year old.  I believe “spirited” is the polite way to put it, or perhaps that she is “challenging”.  She’s always been a pretty demonstrative child, so now that she is trying to subvert those authoritative figures (i.e. US!) she has really shown her independent streak.  This girl has loads of personality, I tell ya.  Her brother went through this phase before, too.  She just needs to learn how to temper that need to tell us, “NO!”, all the time.

Her favorite pasttime is finding new and interesting ways to annoy her brother.  She does it well.  They do play games and with toys together when they are both in the mood to be nice to each other.  Such are the family patterns of siblings, though.  I’m pretty sure they like each other most of the time, despite the amount of screaming we are subjected to when one or the other steals a toy or for goodness sakes, TOUCHES the other one.

She is our pretty, pretty little girl.  I know all parents think their kids are beautiful, and I do not step apart from that at all.  She is beautiful in our eyes.

I never posted her birth story on the blog, so if you are interested in seeing it, you can find it here.
