Last Thursday night we went for a quick walk before dinner. We know our sunshine is getting dimmer and dimmer each day we get home from work. We arrived back from our walk around 6:30 and barely made it in before the sunset. That is the one thing I dislike about winter – the lack of sun. We got some well needed fresh air, I got to take pictures, and the kids ate some pb&j sandwiches in their wagon under a heavy fleece shirt while we walked. There were plenty of water fowl around – mostly the ducks and geese. The kids were mostly concerned about acquiring sticks to wack at things as they went past. That’s experiencing nature right there People.
One child cooperated for pictures, and right after I took this shot of him I stepped on my Ray Bans. Crap.
Look at those eyelashes…why do the boys always get those long full lashes??
Nice!!! I made hubby take me out yesterday after the clouds lifted so I could take some photo’s up thru the leaves lol. Please tell me there will be something worth photographing during winter!!
Love the last two photos ! And those leaves … I miss the changing colors of the trees ! It doesn’t happen much here.
The close up of the duck is so lovely. I feel like I am peeking through the trees.
Great shots Stacy, bummer on the Ray Bans. What great walks you guys must have to go to this beautiful nature preserve and eating their pb&j’s all nestled together sounds so sweet.
More amazing natural beauty! Thanks for sharing…I LOVE all of your fall shots…it makes me feel like I’m getting to experience a bit of the season up there!
I wish we had such a lovely place to walk around I tell ya! When the time changes it’ll be dark so quick it does make me a little sad. As much as I love the fall the time change I do not love. I wish the sun lingered just a little bit more.
Those are some seriously stunning photos, Stacy! Wow.
So sorry about your glasses, but Kai in the bomber jacket?? Hmmm…that photo might be almost worth some Ray-Bans!
You really do live in a beautiful place – and I’m so glad we all get to experience it through you! Dusk here is about 7:30 right now, which is perfect in my book. Perfect timing to head inside and get that little girl into bed!
I am so jealous that you are closed to a body of water like that. I love the muted tones in the last picture. I also wonder why boys get those gorgeous lashes.
The colors in the first picture of the leaves are amazing! I agree about disliking the lack of sunshine. My son also has the most amazing eyelashes – long, thick and black. I, on the other hand, have practically clear eyelashes (the curse of being a redhead!).
I haven’t been by in some time Stacy, your photos are as stunning as ever. Simply brilliant!
Sigh! Looking at these beautiful photos just made me feel like I was on a mini-vacation.
Stacy these are lovely! The leaves are only starting to change around here…I can’t wait until we have some of those vibrant colors too!
Well I guess since the sun is diminishing you won’t need those sunglasses as much right? Bummer!
