I saw this product<\/a> when Anya was a young little button and thought, “I can do that!”.\u00a0 Of course…I never did…until now.\u00a0 How’s that for procrastinating?\u00a0 Yep, I’m an EXCELLENT procrastinator.<\/p>\n

I found a pattern and instructions online<\/a> for those interested in making it themselves.\u00a0 It really is quite easy to do.\u00a0 I used it to make mine, which are going to be used by me and as gifts.\u00a0 That website has some pretty useful patterns for mama sewers.<\/p>\n

Basically, I used some pretty (remember, I’m all about the PRETTY<\/em>) fabric for the exterior and some nice washable and slippery nylon fabric for the interior.\u00a0 There’s not a whole lot of room on the inside so you don’t want to put fabric in there that won’t allow you to slide stuff in and out easily.\u00a0 I really should be a product designer, don’t ya think?\u00a0 Errrr…don’t answer that.<\/p>\n

Then it is a must to add the extra cool, and quite usable, wrist strap.\u00a0 Thinking behind this concept: when you are walking to the ladies\/mens room you only have two hands and they are both holding a squirming child.\u00a0 Next step on the thinking track:\u00a0 When you arrive at said room there is NEVER\u00a0a hook next to the changing pad so you either have to (a) put it on the floor (ewww) or (b) put it on the changing table (ewww, ewww).\u00a0 So, the strap helps to keep it on your wrist, but you could also add a hook to it that would snap on a belt loop of your jeans or some other convenient place.<\/p>\n

Yep, I’m always thinkin’.<\/p>\n

\"DiaperHere’s\u00a0a few that I made.\u00a0\u00a0 Fabulous aren’t they?\u00a0 I gave one to the lovely couple across the street that just had a baby in December, and so nicely volunteered to snowblow the foot of snow from our driveway.\u00a0 One of them conveniently matches my purse that I made.\u00a0 One of them reached the destination of a baby shower yesterday.\u00a0 One has yet to find a home, but I don’t think that will be a problem with all the pregnant ladies around us. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Now this picture shows the must have contents.\u00a0 A few diapers, travel wipes, disposable changing pad, and ziplock bags.\u00a0 “Why, the ziplock bag?”, says the first time mom.\u00a0 Have you smelled poopy diapers before??\u00a0 These are a must especially when you go over to a friend’s house that does not have a Diaper Genie.\u00a0 It just shows that you are full to the brim with class that you don’t make your friend smell that loveliness\u00a0long after you’ve left.<\/p>\n
