{"id":656,"date":"2007-08-27T07:51:35","date_gmt":"2007-08-27T12:51:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thelandofka.com\/?p=656"},"modified":"2007-08-27T07:51:35","modified_gmt":"2007-08-27T12:51:35","slug":"photo-of-the-day-239","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thelandofka.com\/?p=656","title":{"rendered":"Photo of the day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"center\">Playing in the dirt<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"dirt\" alt=\"dirt\" src=\"http:\/\/im1.shutterfly.com\/procserv\/47b7d607b3127cceba48f2d2bf1900000035108AasmLJi1bNg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We spent the weekend with Brian&#8217;s family and the kid&#8217;s got the opportunity to play in the dirt&#8230;a much beloved pasttime.<\/p>\n<p>The details:\u00a0 f3.5, 1\/2000 shutterspeed, ISO 200, white balance set for cloudy, and I used my kit zoom lens at 18mm.<\/p>\n<p>The editing:\u00a0 I underexposed the picture a little so I could get some of the blue in the sky.\u00a0 I had to lighten it up using curves, and then added contrast using a brightness\/contrast layer mask.\u00a0 This added too\u00a0 much yellow to his face, so I erased his face from that layer.\u00a0 I adjusted the color since their was too much yellow overall.\u00a0 Then I used the sponge tool to saturate the colors of the grass and sky.\u00a0 Finally I used the burn tool around the outside to darken the edges.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Playing in the dirt We spent the weekend with Brian&#8217;s family and the kid&#8217;s got the opportunity to play in the dirt&#8230;a much beloved pasttime.
