This past week I took my annual first-week-of-school-sewing-bonanza-time-off.  I managed to work out most mornings and then do some sewing.

Gettin’ stuff done!  Whoo hoo!

Anya wanted rock star clothes (BLING) and she likes black.  This turned into a S.W.A.P. (sewing with a plan).  I wanted to have a wardrobe that she could mix and match.  I took out pretty much all my apparel fabric and stared at it for a few hours while I was picking out what I wanted each piece to look like.  This became a 5 bottom, 5 top, 1 hoodie, and 1 swimsuit matching wardrobe.  She can’t really wear the swimsuit with the rest, but it matches!

Here is the wardrobe:

Basically, I made all the patterns.  The bling on the shirts are iron-on crystals from Dharma Trading Company.  I bought the mylar carrier sheets, too, since that is how I made the designs so nice and neat.  You just take the backing off the sheets, place it over the design, and place the crystals glue side up on the sheet over the design.  I drew the designs, too.

This should last her until her next growth spurt.
