A walk in idleness

Even though physical activity is required, going for a walk is idle for us.  It means we are away from the computers, can have a conversation and get some good one on one time with the kids.

I took them for a walk tonight to be idle…and to get pictures for my blog.  Just because there was some purpose behind it, it doesn’t mean it doesn’t count right??

And the icing on the cake… :)

I hope everyone found more idleness than I did this week…at least I got to go on a walk!

Are you guys cold already? They’re in long sleeves (and Dora crocs, cute). Love that last shot, very nice job on that.

It’s not good to idle- just a reminder:

These are fantastic…and I LOVE the bokeh on that first shot of Anya.

Going out to the farm is “idle” for us, too. For the same reasons you mentioned. We may be playing, but we’re playing together doing what we want, not slaves to computer, tv, phone, etc…

ADORE that last shot/LO. Oh it is gorgeous.
The other photos are lovely as always, but that last one is just perfect. I love the look on Kai’s face, too! Hee.

We have had the absolute opposite of idleness around here this week, so I found some photos I didn’t post from a more idle time…

Ay yi yi – how did you get BOTH kiddos to sit still long enough to capture those priceless expressions and affection?
    Great shot! :)

    Thanks everyone!

    To answer the questions…

Melody, yes it is cold enough to wear long sleeves. They both even complained about being cold all dressed up like that. Hopefully today we will be in the upper 70’s though *crossing my fingers*.

    Rachel, I promised chocolate. ;)

I love the orange and black hoodie. Halloween is on the way! :) Cute shots on your walk. And your edit turned out wonderful. I love the vintage, torn, and textured sepia look. Very nice.

    Here’s the rainbows today:

I always love the way you blow out the skies, great pictures! Love the one of your son walking down the path. What a beautiful place to go walking. This is in your neighborhood? How lucky!
Our day of idleness was on Monday when we spent the first day of fall relaxing and hanging out with friends at the beach. It was wonderful!

I love love love that last one! So awesome!

Here are a few shots from our idle week. We have been pretty lazy, so while we did a lot of idling, there were only a few pictures. I was even lazy about that!

Picture #3 is my favorite, it just draws me in and makes me smile Stacy. And that sibling text? Ha. My brothers and I would even disagree about THAT. :)

Oh I love the last one. How precious is that. I’ve hardly had time to take pictures lately. Then when I do processing them is a stumbling block too. Just too much now with homeschooling cranked up full blast. It’s hard to be creative when you are tired, ya know???
    Love the photos.

I’ve definitely had no idleness around my place…thus the reason I haven’t participated in TT for several weeks! Great shots of your cuties….I LOVE that last one…sooo sweet!

What wonderful shots! I love the processing of the last one! I have been anything but idle this week. But Harrison got to have a nice quiet day with Daddy. (although my pictures for today are not FROM today!) Here’s mine anyway!

Love the one of Anya….but the sibling photo with the texture and definition is so cute. The lettering of the definition adds so much to the image.
