I have made this a few times now, and sorry no picture again. I made them for gatherings as I was rushing to get out the door or get it on the counter. This is one of the appetizers I made for an extended family holiday party at our home last Saturday. I also made a spiral ham, cheesy potatoes, homemade mac & cheese, deviled eggs, guacamole, and sloppy joes. Thankfully, I got some help with the cooking. They were there all day due to the long drive and the Packer game starting at 7pm. I was so ready to hit the hay when bedtime rolled around. I also made the blueberry bake for the next morning while watching the game as my parents, sister, two aunts and two dogs stayed overnight. Last weekend was full.
Recipe:
1 rotisserie chicken, shredded (or just poach 2 chicken breasts and shred)
1 bottle Frank’s buffalo sauce
2 packages cream cheese
1 cup sour cream
2 cups cheese (cheddar, colby, monteray jack – your choice)
2 bunches of celery, cut in about 4 inch pieces
crackers
Mix together the first five ingredients in a crockpot and melt together. Dip with the celery and/or crackers.
Yes, it has a kick. The kids probably won’t like it, but you will have the beat the adults off with the stick as they mob you for the recipe. It’s yummy. 😀
