We went over to my parents house this past weekend, and Anya actually requested to go out and see the horsies. She’s getting better with these big beasts and isn’t so afraid of them anymore. Now if we could just cure her of her fear of the dogs!
The buckskin is Alex and the POA (Pony of America) is Ollie. There is a colt and one other pony on the premises. They are younguns’. My sister is going to train and then sell them. One of them she really rescued from a bad home. He was malnourished and needed to be fixed up a bit. Now he’s fat and healthy and wants to play. 🙂
So beautiful !! Won’t it be great when the kids are big enough (and confident enough) to ride them !
My Natalya would be in heaven.
How lovely. The boys want horses *so* bad. Unfortunately we don’t have the space, so they have to make do with the cattle and donkey at the farm…
Those are beautiful shots!
What FUN!!!
I LOVE the first picture with the setting sun and the beautiful winter/evening colors 🙂
Wow, I love the first shot (although they are all gorgeous) It reminds me of being a kid in South Dakota.
So gorgeous, Stacy. I just love your shots and your processing EVERY TIME. I’m adding a request for more help with processing to your Saturday tips. Because I know you have nothing else to do! 🙂
Anna
I agree with Anna – I could totally use some of your tips for processing!
Great shots — I am so jealous that you get to see horses up close – that is SO COOL!
I love that first picture. Very nice. It’s sad how people choose to malnourish their horses rather than accept they can’t take care of them and either sell them or give them away. My husband just had a horse given to him, he’s grass foundered bad, but should be ok with a diet and a lot of exercise in a few months. I need to post some pics of him. He’s big, black, and beautiful. 🙂
Great new site design to BTW. 🙂
These are beautiful, Stacy. I love the first one especially.
(And I love the new design, too! I may be a little late on that one since I have been catching up in Bloglines!)
Those are gorgeous photos. I really like horses, but a bit afraid of them. There’s many in my neighborhood, and riders often stop in front of our house and let the girls pet them. I’d love for them to learn to ride some day, but not sure I’ll ever be fearless enough to own one. Glad to hear of the rescued horse, I love happy pet endings! : )
Those horses are beautiful. What gorgeous pics!
Stunning shots of beautiful horses. Making me a bit sad…missing our horses in the mountains.
Thanks so much everyone! The new design is another free template I found on the web. So much fun free stuff out there!
Horses are really beautiful creatures, and most of them are kind hearted. They do know if you don’t know how to ride and will take advantage of that, though. They are inherently lazy and will head back to the barn on you the first chance they get! 😉
Stacy these photos are gorgeous!!! Just stunning! Makes me want to go horseback riding.
how wonderful that your parents have horses! i bet the kids will really appreciate them when they are a bit older. lovely shots.
Those are some GORGEOUS horses!!! Those first two pics take my breath away.
I think I’m becoming a groupie! Those are amazing!
