Since I got less than nothing done last week (an achievement in itself!), I thought I would share the Mother’s Day cards the little urchins made me last month. Daycare is nothing if not creative in finding ways to keep the kids busy. Apparently they must prove they are worth the $435 we spend weekly. College doesn’t really look that bad after daycare. 😉
Behold…the cute cards (Anya’s handprint is on the white one, which I really like getting those for the scrapbook):
The best part is what the cards said, though…
Kailan’s card:
My Mom’s name is Stacy.
She is 7 years old.
Her favorite food is salad.
Her favorite thing to do is watch movies.
My mommy loves me because I help fix toys.
I love my mommy because she picks up my toys for me.
My mommy is as beautiful as a picture.
I think my mommy looks funny when she makes silly faces.
I know my mommy is mad when sister breaks something
Anya’s card
My Mom’s name is Stacy.
My Mom is 3 years old.
My Mom weighs 6 pounds.
Her favorite thing to do is work
I love my mommy because she colors with me.
My Mom loves me because.
Those few little responses really say a lot, don’t they. Apparently they think I’m young and thin…I can live with that. 😀
That is REALLY cute!!! What a great idea!
Of course, you know some mom’s card said she was 100 years old and weighed a million pounds — kids’ simple estimations go both ways!
I love that you weigh 6 pounds. That gave me a giggle. So sweet though to know what goes on inside those little brains.
Love those cards, clearly they got it right! 🙂
And ouch on the daycare, I hear you. We are at the same daily rate as you, and are COUNTING the hours til public kindergarden. Does K start in a year, like Will?
Oh yeah, that is definitely a keeper. Very cute (and oh so honest)!
6 pounds? That’s awesome! Can you tell me your secrets? 🙂
Your kids are adorable.
No wonder you only weigh 6 pounds – your favorite food is salad! Those are adorable!
LOL – kids are soo cute and supper amazing! As for being 6 or 3 – girl you better be careful and 6 pounds what’s the secret!? 🙂
LOL…Young and thin…you’ve got them trained well!
Those are awesome. Wish my daycare lady did a few of these projects too. I want to be young and thin. 😀
Gosh those are keepers. I love their answers! How totally sweet and innocent.
So my question is, were you able to conceal your snorts of laughter reading them for the first time with the kids there? These are classic. Young and thin is great, but I think Anya’s reason you love her is the best of all. 😉
Good gosh, those daycare rates would kill me!
I love those cards! So sweet and funny… which makes them even sweeter!
You are so young and slim. 🙂
These are precious…worth the ridiculous cost of daycare.
Cute! Yes, I agree with the others, though… you must chare your dieting secrets! 😉
