Every backyard should have a swingset, right? We were so glad that the previous owners left all the kid stuff in the backyard as part of the sale of the house. I understand why, of course…they are darn heavy! We didn’t have kids at the time, but I was pregnant with Kailan and we could see lots of fun in the backyard on them.
Summer evenings on the backyard swings…truly a piece of childhood.
I love her little pants!!! Girl clothes are so cool!!
We are looking into purchasing one of these. I certainly feel it is a staple of childhood!
Beautiful children. I’m amazed by the color of their eyes and how you are able to capture that. I have posted a Wildlife photo on my site. I’ve been reading your tips and I really appreciate how much they make sense. When I’ve tried to read up on photography, it all sounds “blahbleeblahbloo…” So thank you! I’ll keep posting pics as I learn how to use my camera.
Your color is so amazing, Stacy! I am struggling as of late in really capturing rich, bright colors! And when I am pleased with the coloring in PS, it somehow gets lost in translation as I upload it to wordpress….I am not very happy with my photos lately.
But yours look great, every time – every day!
And swings – perfect way to end a day!
Great photos! We have a playset that the landlords kept with the house. Love that thing!
Our first house came complete with a fort and swing set. It was heaven for our then only son.
That first shot is so real…pure childhood and cute to boot. Of course, every shot is darling. And I’m with Carrie, above, on your photo colors.
Thanks for the compliments! 😀
Hmmmm…my secret? A cloudy evening sky and 85mm 1.8 lens. That’s the secret mix to getting some fab color. I popped it a little in post processing, but really they didn’t need much. I had to really tone down the reds, but that is my Nikon D50’s fault. 🙂
YES, every backyard should have a swingset – and ours doesn’t. I want to get one for Nadia so bad. Unfortunately food comes before fun in the budget. 😉
Your colors are awesome….and I have serious lens envy, ya know that?
Its great to create memories for thier childhood. Yes, a swingset is a must. You captured some great shots.
BTW – went to the zoo today…no grizzlies! We did not see a single one. I was soo disappointed. We always love the dolphin show and I thought of you when we passed by the big window at the coral reef display. It looks like that is where you took that great picture of Anya. All the kids we were with loved playing in that area. We must have sat there for 20 minutes or so.
I LOVE Anya’s pants 🙂
These are so cute. Very natural and spontaneous looking.
Hey ! I love these photos !!! And you know what ? Your last post inspired me. The kids and I are headed to the Zoo after school today. That’s the beauty of annual passes … you can just go for a couple of hours whenever you want !!
Also wanted to let you know that I’ve moved my blog. You can find me here.
Beautiful shots – the colors are SO POPPING. And yes, the swingset is a staple in our family too. Where else can you live on the edge, so young? 🙂
I love the color also! What fun! We don’t have a swing set in the back yard, I wish we did – but at least the sand area suffices.
Your bright colors are so wonderful! The red in her shirt and the green of the background grass so sets off her lovely blond hair. Great shots. 🙂
Awesome, awesome shots. Gorgeous colors, I agree with everyone. I wish our grass was that green…the heat keeps trying to kill it!
I love the vibrancy of your photos! Great play set. Wish we had one of those… for me to play on. haha
