Sorry, two posts in one day. Just had to share these from last night. We were pretty sure we were going to get a storm after how hot and humid it was yesterday. I think the worst of it went north of us, but we still go the wind, pea sized hail and a downpour. We were in the basement with the kids as it went through around 9pm…better safe than sorry! They were ready!
I wish I didn’t have the darn electrical wires in the way for my shots. I took these before it started in on us.
The view to the northwest
The view to the west as the sun was setting through the stormclouds
After the storm looking to the west at the sunset. The clouds on the end of the storm system were like cottonballs. The kids were ready for bed by the tine it went through and probably fairly bored at being in the basement watch a half hour or so of storm coverage.
What gorgeous shots!!! I hope the weather stays away though! we don’t get weather like that here in Ireland.. or skies like that!!
Yowza. I just can’t imagine having to go in a basement for storms. It just doesn’t happen here. Scary to think of.
Yowza! Look at that sky – it’s freaky intense! And different from every direction! You sure do get some wild storms there. Glad you “weathered” another one – haha, I crack myself up. 😉
Wow, those are gorgeous AND ominous!!
Auntie Em! Auntie Em!! Creepy clouds.
These are gorgeous sky shots — wow! I hope it didn’t bring too much bad weather…it certainly looks like that storm could be on the large side!
Your skies look like our skies right now. We’ve had all those very similarly colored skies for the last few days too. The weatherman seems to think the humidity and the thunderstorms will move on by Thursday but we’ll see.
Nice shots, sometimes there’s no winning with the power lines.
Wow that’s some crazy looking clouds in the last one! Very cool!
