Thanks to everyone that left such nice comments and for the lurkers that de-lurked. I hope you come out of hiding more often! 🙂
And the Skinmedica fabulousness goes to number
RACHEL! Definitely go check out her blog. She has some unique challenges as a momma and I can tell she does a wonderful job looking at her smiley little guy. Congratulations!! I will send you an e-mail for your address.

We had a nice weekend, with a daytrip to my hometown. One of my relations owns the 100+ year old farm of my great grandparents, so they have the extended family reunion there every year. They did a lot of fun activities for the kids…a water slide, tie dying t-shirts, face painting and they hid 60 plastic eggs in a whole pile of straw. You should have seen the straw flying in the scramble! Of course, there was a lot of yummy food there, too. 🙂
My Mom, my Grandma Jo, and my Aunt Nan
The face painting…and body painting, too. They both wanted one on each cheek and leg. I gave Anya a heart, dolphin, smiley face and butterfly. Kailan got a dinosaur, shark, swordfish and a red racecar.
These were shot in RAW and then processed in CS3. I’m not totally won over yet, but it is nice that it gives you a bit more flexibility. I haven’t used my wide-angle 18mm on my zoom much this summer, but I love how these last two turned out. 🙂
Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh! I had a funny feeling about it! I had already wanted to leave a comment, and thought, “gee, that would be nice to try something for my fickle skin”… I am SO pumped!!!
I hit up your website all the time for photog info and I too love how those last two pictures turned out!
Thanks again! 🙂
I love how incredibly crisp all your photos are! They look so classy! Adorable face painting for sure…
yeah…Anya’s eyes look even bigger and bluer than normal, if that is possible! 🙂
Totally adorable! 🙂 Those two kids of yours!
I love those pics…wide-angle lenses make the coolest perspectives…the kids are adorable as always!!!
Well, I of course had hoped to win, but congrats to Rachel!
We both had face painting pictures up for yesterday! I love the fun effects with a wide angle lens. Is it the kit lens you used? Sounds like a totally awesome party…I can just imagine the hay flying.
I love the effect you got wit the wide angle lens. I am currently in the process of hinting and persuading my der husband into letting me purchase at least 2 more lens, the 50mm and the 18-35mm wide angle. Cross your fingers.
