Having little children means stepping back into a time when you believed in fairies and all things fantastical.
Communing with the Fairies
This is the shot I’m going to have made into a 16×24 inch gallery wrap canvas. The green scroll work should wrap around the 2″ thick frame…if I did it right. I’ll let you know how it goes! I also got a few other canvas’ in different sizes. Two are for my office at work (one of each kid) and another one is a Christmas present. I’ll take some pictures of them and give a review on them when I get them.

What wondrous things do you have to share today? 🙂
Stacy, this is truly beyond wonder and beauty. Really.
Mine, well, I just want the boys to know love and to always be connected…

Gorgeous! I can’t wait to see what it looks like on canvas!
I can’t even recall when I used to believe in fairies… ah, to go back to those days though!
Wondrous you say? I think it’s both wondrous and wonderful when kids are so willing to share with you things even I would have trouble sharing.

I think it’s awesome! What does Kai think about his wings? My boys would not like that at all!
Ohhh Stacey, what a gorgeous shot! Your little fairies are adorable. I LOVE how your son is standing strong, and his wings convey the same message. Sweet little girl doesn’t look at all surprised she has fellow fairies dancing at her feet. Lovely.
I’m in awe and wonder with my Mia. She’s 2 1/2, and lately she says the most amazing things. Her imagination is exploding and I enjoy seeing the world through her eyes.
The other day it was sprinkling a little outside. When she saw it, she exclaimed, ‘LOOK Mama! It’s sparkling’. Sparkling…yes, it was sparkling and so was she 🙂
Here’s my little wonderment:

Again, you are just the master at that. Gorgeous work. Thanks for this theme. I didn’t think that I would come up with anything. But somehow, it all worked out…

Wow, you’ve sure got the hang of those beautiful fairy wings. I still haven’t had a chance to try that tutorial out yet. Hopefully soon.
What a neat idea about using the image on a canvas. Please share how it works out!
Mine is up. A little wonder on the the 4th.

Thanks so much everyone!
Alissa, he actually thought the wings were pretty neat, so he isn’t quite at the age yet where he thinks fairies are more “girly”. I love how he’s looking at them, and seems to be thinking, “you aren’t going to win me over, fairies!” 🙂
That is SO beautiful! That will look wonderful on your wall! LOVE it!

Meet my Nephew
I am crazy about your fairies! What an amazing thing to have in your home.
Here’s my (very first ever so I’ve got a lot of practicing to do) fairy shot.
Wonder
i think that looks incredible. i love the soft looking wings on the girl.
here’s mine: http://afamiliarpath.blogspot.com/2008/08/childhood-wonder.html
I lovet the wings. I bet the canvas will be amazing. You must never sleep, where do you find the time to learn all theses great talent?
All I can say is, WOW. I love it. I have to ask, did you have your kids pose this way with the idea of adding the wings and the fairies?
Stacy, do you know if there’s a way to enable right-clicking to open the links in a new window, or make it so we can select text?
Thanks again everyone!
Susie, no I didn’t have them pose that way. HaI Posing my kids…what a novel idea, if they would actually cooperate! I really just take what I get with them and go with it to create something. I was lucky this time. 🙂
Christina, the right-click and copy is disabled on my blog to prevent copying. I’m not sure how good of a security feature it is, but I’d like to keep it on. Is there a problem clicking through to the links? I can do it, but let me know if that doesn’t work.
Love love love the fairy shots. What a wonderful thing to have in your home.
Here’s my wonder.
Simply. WOW. That shot needs to be on the cover of something.
Ahh, that makes sense to disable right-click as a security feature. I just didn’t know that disabling that would disable it for links as well. I can click on the link and it will open, but it opens in place of your blog…so I keep having to go back and reopen your page to check out all the links. Only an issue for TT! I can’t highlight the text to copy and paste the link into a new browser either.
p.s. Can any page be righ click disabled?
Your clarity on the whole picture is wonderful.
Ah-ha! That’s what happened to the right-click to open. Nope, I can’t right-click to open a link either, the security disabled it all. Bummer. But understandable.
I love the picture and can’t wait to see the gallery wraps! I’ve always wanted to do that.
I’m REALLY late – many issues came up today including CS3 Creative Suite Color management issues. What I see in CS3 is NOT what get s printed or saved an uploaded to the web. Ugh. Plus I don’t know how much of it may be Window Vista.
Anyway here is my link: http://piercebabyproject.blogspot.com/2008/08/i-wonder.html
that is quite possibly the best photo creation I’ve ever seen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You have to share where you got those digi-wings and fairies!! (ok, you don’t HAVE to, but I would LOVE to know. 🙂
It is nice when you have such photogenic (hope I spelled it right) children. A childhood is really full of magic and it is fun when the grown ups can join in, kid’s give us a chance to be young again.
