Although I have been sewing this week…unfortunately, I can’t show what I have sewn for a few months.  It was all for Anya, really cute, and I used actual, honest-to-goodness patterns.  I am hoping to get a few other things completed so I can at least show something.

For now…I give you food!

This post is about a steak marinade that I use a lot, and it doesn’t look like I have posted it.  It is super flavorful, and can really dress up steaks.  This time I used it on cube steak, since I have a lot to use up in the freezer.  It is pretty simple to throw together quick.

I served this with a recipe for grilled cabbage I found on Pinterest, minus the bacon bits.  The cabbage was from our CSA, so it was fresh and sweet!  It all went together pretty well.

This post is about a steak marinade that I use a lot, and it doesn’t look like I have posted it.  It is super flavorful, and can really dress up steaks.  This time I used it on cube steak, since I have a lot to use up in the freezer.  It is pretty simple to throw together quick.
Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce (reduced sodium)
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce (reduced sodium)
  • 1 TBSP olive oil (I used Chile flavored to give it a little kick)
  • 1-2 cloves garlic, crushed or minced
  • Pepper
Instructions
  1. Mix this up in a ziplock bag, and put the steaks in it.
  2. Mush it all around so everything is covered and let it sit on the counter for about 30 minutes or so, turning once.  Your meat needs to get closer to room temperature before you throw it on the grill anyways.
  3. When done marinating, fire up the grill and cook your meat according to how well done you like it.  I drizzle the marinade over the steaks when I put them on the grill, too.
