Parenthood is all about teaching the next generation.  You feel the need to pass on those precious pearls of wisdom and make certain that your child learns all the vastness you can teach them.

My contribution to furthering humanity is teaching my children about the wonders of clothing and accessories.  Never will it be said that my children ventured out into society without being well dressed.  At least while I still have a say in what they wear.  Which will be as long as I possibly can influence my children by withholding things they love like candy and ice cream.

I am happy to say that my precious little angel knows how to say….SHOES!

She had actually learned this magnificent word a few weeks ago, but I feel that the world needs to know about her above average intelligence… 😉  She will take her shoes, hold her shoes, cuddle her shoes, and try to put them on backwards, forwards and pretty much any other way that would enable her to NOT get them on her tiny little feet.

I have succeeded in warping yet another child to my shoe-filled twisted world.   *evil laughter ensues*

But isn’t it just so important that your shoes match your outfit??  This is something every child needs to embrace or their life will not be fulfilling.

Unfortunately now that Kailan is starting to express his opinion on what he wears (and who told him he could do that?!), he has not grasped the all important “matching” concept.

There are some days when he leaves the house that I have to resist the urge to redress him to make sure his current favorite shoes match his outfit.  I never know what ones are his favorites until he throws a fit in the morning after I have dressed him and he doesn’t like the chosen shoes.

Very frustrating, indeed, to his control freak of a mother.
