The kids had Thursday and Friday off for MEA (the teacher’s convention that most teachers don’t seem to attend). Brian took the kids to Feed My Starving Children to pack food on Thursday morning, and then he had to go back to work for the afternoon. I took the afternoon shift. It was such a beautiful day in the low 70’s that we had to get out and breathe in some fresh air.
This was a new place that we hadn’t gone to before, and it is fairly close to home. I printed out a map, since we have been known to get lost before. This trail was well marked along the way, though. There were still a few spots with some offshoot trails that had been forged, but we seemed to be able to find the main path through the woods and blanket of leaves. The kids seemed to really enjoy themselves. Anya was picking up the horsetail (those green bamboo looking plants), and dropping it behind her like Hansel and Gretel. Apparently, she really didn’t want to get lost. 😉
It truly was a beautiful walk with the fall colors coming to their peak.
So gorgeous~ I am loving your Fall photos!
Thanks, Michelle! It was a beautiful day out…sunny skies and mild weather. I will take this kind of weather anytime. 🙂
Breathtaking. Especially the shot of all the leaves on the ground in every shade. And what have you done to Anya’s legs? Have you had that kid on a rack or something??? hahahah
Haha..yeah, she is a leggy one!
