The girl is currently playing volleyball, and she also has gymnastics on Saturday mornings, so she asked me to make her some pants that would go over those clothes.

It is coooooooollllddd out there, man.

So cold, my car battery died on me on Tuesday.  It has been sitting outside since the 2nd of January when the windows were dropped off into my garage stall.  My poor Acadia is not used to being outside in such extreme temps.  One day was around -30 with the windchill.  Brrrrrrr.

So…little arms and legs need to be covered from exposure to the coldness.

Fabrics:  Gray heather french terry, white ribbing, white sweatshirt

Notions: 2″ elastic

This is a french terry, which you may recognize from a previous post.  I had to buy the whole piece and it was 4+ yards.  I have used it all up now with my bottom and top, as part of an infinity scarf, and now these two pieces.

The bottoms were from a leggings pattern by Oliver + S.  I just made the legs straight and increased the waistband as I used 2″ elastic in the waist.  With all the fleece bottoms I have been making, I am running out of my elastics.

The top started out as the Oliver + S raglan.  I cut the front piece and added the big open pocket in the bottom.  I should probably do a tutorial on it.  So easy.  Such a bad picture of it.

The hood was using scraps to get enough to make it.

This is the second time I used this raglan pattern, and I have to say that the neckline is a bit wonky.  It is too pointy, where it pops up and doesn’t lay flat.  I cut it down, so that it would lay better.  Not sure if I will use this again or just trace off one of the many Ottobre raglans I have in the stack of issues sitting in my cupboard.

Overall, pretty comfy outfit for her!
