Theme Thursday: HOME
*****
With winter creeping upon us we tend to hibernate in our warm little homes. The daylight is staggeringly scarce when we arrive home after a long day, so if I want to take pictures of the kids the flash is a must. Here is a post from last winter on using the hot-shoe mounted external flash. In case you are interested. 🙂
We’ll be playing inside a lot more from now on. Yesterday we woke to a dusting of snow on everything. Whenever Kailan had asked when his birthday was going to be, we told him when there was snow on the ground. Would you like take a gander at a guess to what he told us yesterday morning? 😉
What a GREAT theme idea! 🙂
Thanks for posting the link to the flash tutorial. I recently reread the manual at swim lessons. I am still unconfident with the flash. It will come.
Oh that is funny!
Tristan sings Happy Birthday to himself daily at the lunch table. No idea why, but it’s darnded cute.
Kailan sure looks like he’s inquiring in those pictures. Come one people… get with the party. Don’t ya know it’s gonna be my BIRTHDAY? 🙂
Ooooohhh. Snow?! I bought warm jammies today b/c it has been getting cool (and yes, dark!) in the evenings, but then it was 80 degrees again during the day. Sigh. I do miss a little sweater weather sometimes!
Love the theme! Determined to get something fun this week…
Snow?! That’s almost surreal, seeing as we’re still running around in short sleeves half the time! but it does get dark pretty darn early these days.
Fun theme idea!
Ah, the cold and the snow. It has definately hit us this weekend. You can just look out the window and see the frost on the grass. I hate the flash, I hate the flash, I hate the flash. I have yet to buy an external flash, so I will have to get crafty this winter….or go buy an external flash. Thanks for the tips!
Your flash shots turned out nice. I’m so terrible with a flash inside. It’s one of the perks to NM, there’s sunshine almost all the time. Although I have to agree it gets a might sparse nowadays when I get home from work. I have to make up for it on the weekend with more pictures. 🙂
We haven’t seen snow yet in the valley, but the weather today certainly looks like it might try again.
I am going right away to read that post. I am so bummed that I don’t have that Golden Hour after work anymore to take outside pictures. I have to learn to work with the flash until the light of spring returns.
Love the flash pics! I really need to get a speedlight and learn how to use it! We don’t have to worry too much about being stuck indoors here because it is just now getting to feel NICE outside for a change…
