Frightening isn’t she? You should see what she looks like when she needs a nap. 😉
The weekend just flew by! Saturday we had friends over for dinner and Kailan had a birthday party in the afternoon. He got to go bowling for it, and apparently was having quite a good time. I think Anya is feeling a bit left out. Kailan has had lots of parties to go to lately and Anya’s friends have yet to have a party. At least I took her out with me to the grocery store in the morning. That was loads of fun going out in the inclement weather as it’s getting a bit brisk here. I think she did like going out with me by herself, though. I also think knowing that her little friend from daycare was coming for dinner made it okay that she didn’t get invited to the party.
Today I finished Anya’s dress for the pictures at daycare Tuesday, and just need to add buttons to Kailan’s vest. Tonight we went to see Wicked, and what a good show! If you get the chance to go see it, definitely take the opportunity. It is one of the better shows we have seen.
Tomorrow night is back to swimming classes and somehow I need to go through our entire basement tomorrow night and itemize everything for a charity to pick up Tuesday. I’m guessing that I might not get everything done. If I can get at least some of the bins emptied I will be a happy camper. Time to pare down the stuff we just don’t need anymore. I’m pretty sure those inline skates are going…I could hurt myself if I put them on now!
Another picture from last week taken by our budding photographer, Kailan. I had to tell him to be VERY careful – that flash is a bit of added weight on the camera, but he did a really good job!
Does Anya totally crack up over that picture? Seems like kids love to see silly shots of themselves!
Okay, I’m just gonna pretend you have an insanely awesome camera (which I know you do) and it practically takes great pictures by itself.
Otherwise I’ll just get totally depressed that your son (whose age numbers in the ONE DIGIT range) takes better photos than I do. Heck, he even got the bokeh thing going for himself. OUCH.
And congrats – he really does have your knack 🙂
HA HA HA!!! She is adorable!!!
LOL…Well Rachel, I did have it all set up for him BUT he got me in focus which is HUGE on my camera since it isn’t set to auto focus. 🙂
Addie LOVES that shot of Anya (me, too!) and little Kai is quite the photog – just like his Mama!
I think Wicked is one of my favorite shows. I saw it when it opened in Chicago with Ana Gasteyer (from SNL) and have seen it twice here in LA, too. I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of seeing it. It is great!
I hope you have a nice and easy week…
Look at your little photographer!!! And the scary monster is cracking me up!
Kailan follows in your footsteps, incredible photograph. Anya’s picture is too funny, you will enjoy showing that to her boyfriends in 10+ years!
What a wonderful picture of you. 🙂 It’s nice to see you every now and then. And I have to agree, no nap equals monster of another kind that’s for sure.
Ummm, YEAH he did a good job. You’ve got your own little assisant there.
Anya’s eyes crack me up even more than the teeth!
WTG Kailan! What a great photo of your mom!
That is so awesome that your son like photography. I have a 11 year old niece that has taken a great interest and I am so excited to share what I know with her.
BTW, I made the blueberry french toast bake you posted a little while back, it was fabulous!
Kailan is just as talented as his mommy! But that first shot — what a little ham Anya is!
GREAT picture of you! What a budding photographer you have on your hands! Happy Birthday to Kai!!!
Nice work! I could use a flash tutorial from him!
