Last Saturday we wanted to run some errands, so we waited until after nap time and then went on our merry way.  Unfortunately Toddler #1 didn’t nap…he played in his bed the whole time and maybe slept 15 minutes.

Where were we going??  Toys R Us.

Yes, we wanted to torture ourselves by bringing a sleep-deprived toddler into a store filled with toys he couldn’t have.  The whining started off at a fairly low grumble and then turned into the high-pitched screeching/crying by the time we went to check out with our items.  We are pretty sure that the sales people were glad we left…though I think they are probably used to it.

Ah, the days when we could take Kai into store and not hear “WANT THAT!!!” every two seconds.  Anya hasn’t entered that phase yet, so she can still go in the stores and be pleasant.  She’s an easy keeper, so far, but add another 6 months on and I’m sure we will have TWO screaming toddlers.
