Friday night my friend, Michelle (Baby boy T’s mommy), brought her oldest up for an overnighter. I was hosting a Silpada party with her as the sales lady (Anyone want to order any Silpada?? 😀 ), plus it was an excuse for the kids to play together. They don’t get together very often, but boy do they have fun when they do. Lots of running around, screaming and massive amounts of toys on the floor. I’m not sure how the boys got out of Kailan’s room in the morning because I don’t think there was a clear area on the floor. At least we got the kids to clean it all up before they left for home. Yay!
Don’t go “W” – we will miss you!
The rest of the weekend was spent being mostly lazy. We didn’t do much at all. I did a lot of sewing and not much laundry. Oh well, such is life! I got the kids’ outfits finished for their Christmas card pictures and got part of Anya’s holiday dress done. I need to figure out what I want to do for the underdress yet.
Last week I bought Anya her Christmas present from Mommy and Daddy. She has an affinity for her Fancy Nancy book, and I showed her the doll when we went shopping for the Operation Christmas Child. She liked it, so I went back and bought it for her. Extra outfit (as in ONE) for Fancy Nancy = $20. Uh, okay. Notgonnahappen. I took her out of her box, took off her clothes and measured her for some new outfits. I have plenty of extra bits of fabric that look really cute as doll clothes. I just need to add buttons and snaps and FANCY things to them now. I found a little suitcase type box to put all her outfits in at HomeGoods. It’s going to be a very cute present. 🙂
It was nice to get some projects done this weekend. 🙂
You’re such a fancy mama. She’s going to love her doll. And I did less-than-satisfactory numbers of laundry loads this weekend, too.
You are so creative!! That will be a wonderful gift for Anya. And what a sweet picture — I used to LOVE my cousins when I was little. Well, I still love them, but we have somewhat outgrown the slumber party bit…
You made doll clothes? You are amazing.
That so cool you made clothes for the doll. I had dolls as a child that my grandmother knitted outfits for. The dolls are now gone but we still have the clothes.
So sewing doesn’t count as ding anything in your book, huh? I bet thos Fancy Nancy dresses are going to be awesome. You should make one that matches Anya’s Christmas dress!
Love the expressions in that photo!
I love how sweet that picture is! The kids look like they are quite attached to their buddy!
Can’t wait to see your Christmas photo!
What a wonderful idea! She’ll love having all those extra outfits. 🙂 You know I just found out my sewing machine is well not broken exactly but stuck. I’m glad my Mom is here she took it to the repair shop for me. Maybe with the holiday break coming I’ll get to do some more sewing too with her.
Ok, you are getting way creative now! That is wonderful that you are going to make the Fancy Nancy clothes. What a great way to save money this holiday season! So glad the kids had a fun sleepover. I bet they slept good too! 😉 What a coincidence, I just went to a Silpada party a couple of weeks ago. Hope you get some good stuff for being a hostess.
that is the coolest pic:o)
FANCY! How very cool….she is going to flip!
And I LOVE that jewelry – but you can’t really shop online? It is some pretty fancy stuff.
I can’t wait to see your craftiness tomorrow 🙂
So awesome that you can make extra clothes for Fancy Nancy!! $20 for ONE outfit?? YIKES!! I think it is a good thing I don’t have a girl, I’d be broke because I CANNOT sew!!
An outfit is $20! Wowzer! That is the sweetest photo!
