How can it have been 5 years already??  Unfortunately time marches on at an unrelentous pace and that little baby has become a little boy.  He is our kind hearted boy who loves to laugh.  He’s occassionally emotional and wishes he could lounge about all day either watching TV or playing a computer game.  It is amazing he is so skinny with how much he doesn’t like to move.  Apparently those fitness classes at daycare must be really helping.

The little boy that had a hard time learning to talk is now doing very well in his phonics class.  Tonight he told us that if you add a “v” in front on “an” it spells van.  It seems like kids need to know things so much sooner than we did.  By the time he gets into kindergarten next year he should be reading.  We are so very proud of him.

He is getting a rather large Star Wars toy for his birthday.  He picked it out when we were at Costco, and it was the VERY LAST ONE.  Well, as you can imagine he became quite concerned as it was the VERY LAST ONE, so we put it in our cart.  He was told he couldn’t open it until his birthday, so he has been drooling over it for a few weeks now.  There will be much Storm Trooper and Droid battles tonight. 🙂
