Starting this week at daycare we are starting the “tough love” regimen.  Today I purchased all sorts of cute big boy underpants.  We have an assortment of dinosaurs, Spiderman and Superman to please the young boy.  He must submit.

In less than one month he will turn 3, and at which time he needs to move up to the next room and lower the what-the-Hell daycare payments.  He is not working with mommy and daddy on this lofty goal.

Some days are good where he stays mostly dry, but many days are 50/50.  He knows how to do it, he just doesn’t pay attention or want to break from playing.  I’m hoping that soaking his shoes in pee will be an incentive.  It sure would be for me.

Another incentive may be that I will not let him wear his beloved cowboy boots to daycare until he goes all day long with no accidents.  Sneakers I can throw in the wash, but cowboy boots are not that easy.  He has been wearing them pretty much every day since he acquired them a week and a half ago.  He loves them, and mommy will try to use that love to her advantage.

Yuck…I am not looking forward to this.  Vision of wet clothes and shoes are dancing in my head.
