This weekend we went looking for a new car for Brian.  He has to climb in the opposite side back seat to get Kai into his car seat in his little Acura.  We test drove a couple of cars, and they even let us put the car seat in with Kai.  That really surprised me, but it was really nice to see how the car seat would fit and whether it would fit behind Brian’s seat or the passenger seat.  We even test drove a Mercedes (their cheapest one of course!).  I didn’t like it – it didn’t have much more room that his Acura.  I tried to plant my garden this weekend, but it is still a mud pit.  I planted some plants – I hope they like REALLY moist soil.  Hopefully it will dry up a little bit now, but if it storms in the evening the drying out during the day won’t really matter. Kai had his 6 month doctor’s appointment last week.  The doctor said he was doing well, hitting all the milestones that he is supposed to be able to do.  He was in the 95th % for height, 90th % for weight and 80% for head (we figure it’s better to have a smaller head than a bigger head!).  I took pictures of him that day too.  Take a look at them in the Photo Gallery.
