Today both the kids are feeling better. Yesterday morning Kailan woke up covered in caked-on vomit, which I of course didn’t notice until AFTER I had picked him up. YUCK! Shortly thereafter, he said his tummy hurt and started dry heaving. Our poor little man. No daycare for him, so he spent a nice day on the couch watching Harry Potter movies with daddy. He acted like an invalid the whole day, just wanting to be held, and when hungry, fed like a paraplegic. This morning he woke up all perky and ready to go, so it looks like he is feeling all better now.
Anya doesn’t seem to have had any adverse affects to the fall, and didn’t throw up at all yesterday. At this point we aren’t sure if she was throwing up on Saturday due to the fall or the flu, but maybe both. Falling down a flight of stairs is bound to be unsettling to your tummy.
Some sort of flu (not sure if it was stomach flu or influenza) has gone through a few rooms at daycare. Oh Joy! The daycare workers call it the Holiday Curse. Something always happens around the holidays where the kids (and them) end up being sick.
We have been fairly lucky with the kids being well around the holidays, so hopefully we will keep that trend going. After being around the Little Sick One yesterday, hopefully Brian will not end up getting the bug. It seemed to be a quick bug, so hopefully it vacates our house soon!
