At daycare they must be teaching the kids the “Ring around the rosy” nursery rhyme because Kai was kinda singing it and turning in a circle.  Now, I’m all for nursery rhymes and such, but this one is just a little bothersome since it has been linked to the Black Plague.  Singing the words to the song, I always think of what they signify and it just taints the whole cuteness of them turning in a circle and falling down like the dead people.

Since I’m inquisitive by nature…I looked it up online and apparently it isn’t about the Black Plague, that killed more than 25 million people in Europe in the 1300’s.  I like this explanation much better. Meaning
