These are a few photos from a park visit. I don’t think I shared them here at all. Just a nice little playtime at the elementary school playground where Kailan will start Kindergarten next Fall. A few weeks ago was his tour of the school in their open house. He is very excited to start school there, and we arrived at the same time as his little friend, Tommy, so they were able to do the tour together.
I was limping a bit…I fell on the ice when we were on our way inside. I almost started crying it hurt so bad, and I think I bruised the bone. I still hurt from it, and normally it doesn’t last that long. For a good week I couldn’t kneel on it. My body is just a mess lately!
I soooooooo can’t wait for summer. We are supposed to get 3-6 inches of snow today. Yay. Of course, much of the snow that came down last week melted on Tuesday and Wednesday. I’m sure this bit will melt soon, too. March is the time of snow, melt, snow, melt. It’s quite messy, but at least it is warm enough so the kids can play in snow.
This was from a different day, but I wanted to post it, too. It was one of those photos that I knew needed a little something extra, so I went vintage-y on it. It almost looks like he has a belly on him doesn’t it? If it weren’t for the fact that you can see his ribs and his collarbone is jutting out it would seem he had some measure of body fat! 😉

What memories of summertime do you have to share today? Please…make me feel warm! 🙂
It’s been so long since I’ve joined in on Theme Thursday. Sorry to hear you slipped and hurt yourself. Ouch! Hope you feel better soon!
Lovely summer shots. I should’ve found one from last summer but there’s one shot I took on vacation and it had such a tropical feel to it that I thought it might be appropriate.

Sorry Stacy, it snowed here this evening also. we had to go to the bank after work, so we went to the Dead Robin for dinner and it snowed the whole time we were there, and on the way home. I was wondering how it was gonna affect the new flowers and plants that are starting to push up.
Sorry to hear about your knee. It sucks to get old and it don’t help when we fall. WE don’t heal like we used to!!!
great pic’s the one of Kailan makes him look like he is a refugee from Austwitch…LOL Itty Bit is starting to skinny up too.
i hope this warm shot makes you get rid of the snowy shivers:

Oh, it is coming soon…I promise right after those 3-6 inches of snow! I hope your knee is feeling better…ouch!
I love the vintage-y photo of Kai, that is summertime, shirtless on a bike! 🙂
We are starting to get summertime around here…but it still isn’t as summery as I would like!

So sorry to hear about your fall..I hope you heal up quickly~
Love these pictures…that one of Kailan with the belly…too funny!!
Summer is coming and you, my dear deserve it!!
🙂
How I’ve missed coming over for all sorts of inspiration. Hope to get back to TT next week.
Loving the “ribs” shot. Have a few of my own…uh, ribs showing on the boys that is, not me. 😉
I could have written this very post (sans the wonderful shots of course). We are getting that same snowstorm you speak of, only with a few more inches on top of that.
Let’s run away to someplace warm, mkay? 🙂
I always feel a bit guilty for our warm weather when I come visit you here…but I suppose soon enough, I’ll be the one jealous of you! Sorry for the neverending weather…and the sore leg. Ouch!
I didnt give myself enough time to go look through my archives for this week, but I absolutely LOVE that first shot. The perspective is great and she is lit up perfectly.
Gosh I have been too busy with work, but love to see your post and themes. maybe things will slow down someday.
We hit the beach yesterday.
I did a post about it.
Come see … it will warm you up for sure !
Since we live in the middle of Texas, I’m not really looking forward to Summer….all we end up doing is hopping from one air conditioned place to another, with hopes of not melting in between 🙂
Now, Spring…Spring is something I can do…we’re pretty much there right now, so we’re loving it.
I’ve seen your gorgeous winter shots, and am sure that after a while of that you are indeed ready for summer. Your kids are probably ready to climb the walls and just want to play outside without bundling up in layer after layer 🙂
Wow! Looong comment 😉
Ouch! Hope you feel better soon!
I had snow yesterday… I’m waiting for the weather to make up its mind (today we had the horses’ blankets off… go figure).
What I DO love though… is the beautiful lighting that sometimes comes with this crisp weather!
Great pictures (yes, our kiddo is looking rather slender lately too!)
Oh please let the warm come soon!!!! These make me want it to be warm so bad!
Bone bruises always take a long time to heal. I’m sorry to hear about the fall. After years of living in Chicago with icy sidewalks I can totally sympathize though. Hope your feeling a little better by now.
Lovely pictures of the summer! You’re right the b/w shot on the trike is great. Shirtless in sandals he looks like he’s on the way to the beach for a quick dip. 🙂
