Okay, so I know many of you have been in full grill swing for awhile now, but my grill was in serious need of spring cleaning. I got it cleaned up a few weeks ago and have been utilizing her. (She’s a she because the she in our house is the one that uses her most of the time!)
If you have a Trader Joes near you, I would also highly recommend grabbing one of their marinated tri-tip roasts and throwing one on the grill. You might as well grill some veggies while you are at it and have a great meal. Yumminess!
For Anya’s birthday I made these Chicken Satay skewers and they were all gobbled up. I should have made more, actually. My dad even said he liked them and he doesn’t like peanut butter. Which?? In our household those are fightin’ words! It is it’s own food group here. I made them again last night and they continue to hit my yummy bone. Since this is not a recipe I made up out of thin air, per the usual, you can hop on over here to find the recipe.
I don’t put the hot sauce in it because of the Littles. They definitely wouldn’t eat it then! I’ve also made this on my little teeny George Foreman grill in the winter. I made them last night with some sushi rice and steamed broccoli. Brian suggests for wine pairings to go no heavier than a light Pinot Noir or Grenache. A dry Riesling would go well with this dish. Enjoy!
Ok Girl, it should be illegal to post something that looks that good,
now my puter screen has a great big ole bite mark in it…
That sounds fantastic!! 🙂 And sticky rice…mmm I love sticky rice!
Many thanks for this recipe!
Oy… Mr. Daddy is gonna be requesting this one soon… though in our family, the grill is a He! 🙂
Looks delicious! And the peanutbutter thing would be fighting words in our household too, LOL 🙂
Have a great grillin’ weekend!
I have only heard of trader joe’s. Everyone raves about it.
I heart satay. It’s the dish I always choose at the Chinese when we are sharing dishes :-). I have never made a homemade one which I liked so I will be checking this out. By the way, is a grill the same as a BBQ?
sounds wonderful!! I think I will be trying this one – my picky hubby may even eat it!
Honestly? We’re not that big on PB here either. But this looks yummy enough that I just might have to make it anyway!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE PB over here. Definitely putting this one on the list!
We like the TJs tri-tip on the grill, too…mmmm. We might be grilling all weekend long now. 🙂 (Ok, we probably would have anyhow!)
Oh yum! That looks and sounds d’lish…..all of it!
I am off for a bowl of stawberries with a lil bit of whipped cream in a bit, so good 🙂
