I just have to vent about something that just irritates me to no end.
At daycare there are some parents that park in the handicapped parking spots. They are NOT handicapped, but apparently they think that laziness is a handicap. If it were, I would be parking there daily. However, I do know there is one parent that IS handicapped and I would hate for her to have to walk across the parking lot when she should be able to park where she has a legal right.
I know a few of the violators weren’t born in this country, so maybe they grew up in a country where these types of laws did not exist. However, they now live HERE, so they need to start abiding by our laws. Yeah, I know it’s cold out but they won’t die if they have to walk an extra 20 feet.
I can’t say that all of them were foreign born, though.
There’s no way that I was going to confront the big guy this morning. Beyond just being a chicken when it comes to confrontation, he might have taken me out with his Mercedes. I so wanted to call him out for being such a sissy boy that he couldn’t walk a few extra feet in arctic temperatures.
Beyond the fact that it is against the law, shouldn’t we, as parents, be setting some moral standards for our kids. Just because a law is an inconvenience to you, doesn’t mean it can be ignored.
I asked the center director to include a reminder in their next monthly newsletter. Like these miscreants really need to be reminded that it is against the law (I mean it’s on sign in front of their car!), but maybe just calling them out will do something.
Sissies.
