I love this salad…it’s so good. As a testament to how good it is – Anya actually at it. Yes, my child ate spinach! A miracle occurred! I will try to get a picture of it the next time I make it, so it is pictureless for now.
Recipe:
2 TBSP sesame seeds
1 TBSP poppy seeds
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup olive oil
1/4 cup white vinegar (I have also used cider vinegar)
1/4 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp worcestershire sauce
1 TBSP minced onion
1 bag of baby spinach
1 quart of strawberries – cleaned, hulled and sliced
1/4 cup slivered almonds
1/2 cup blue or feta cheese (goat cheese would go well, too!)
Mix the all of ingredients up to the spinach together for the dressing. 10 minutes before serving mix the dressing with the spinach, strawberries, and almonds. Right before serving add in the cheese.
Enjoy!
Oh my, that sounds DELICIOUS!
Spinach Strawberry salad is one of my favorites. If I don’t have fresh strawberries, I use dried cranberries and that is yummy too. I usually use feta cheese and walnuts.
this does sound good, but my mind keeps wandering back to the shepards pie post… LOL
Oh yay, I’ve been wanting a good recipe for poppy seed dressing to go with spinach salad…this will be made soon here!
This sounds way yummy!! Gonna have to try with all the delicious strawberries in season right now.
Thanks for sharing it, Stacy!
Sounds very yummy! I need to try to make this since the only kind of salad Brandon will eat is with Spinach leaves!
You think Mr. Daddy is kidding about the shepherd’s pie post? He’s mentioned it several times now… hint hint. I think he’s hoping I will momentarily overcome this natural knack I have for destroying any recipe I attempt 🙂
This salad sounds DELICIOUS! Would love to see pictures, but it sounds yummy enough to try without the mouthwatering photo that is sure to come!
Have a great weekend!
What a wild combination of flavours………if I were at all inclined towards cooking I’d try it! (and I might anyway 🙂
this sounds delicious …
it also sounds like something i need to try straight away !!!
