If I were a cool cat mom that wouldn’t mind driving downtown on a cold February afternoon, then we would totally be here this weekend.

Minneapolis is one of only 14 other cities in the U.S. where these dance parties are happenin’.  The concept is great.  They take a real dance club and during a Saturday afternoon, they turn it into a toddler-kid-parent-friendly dance place.  NO BARNEY ALLOWED.  Love that.  It allows parents to actually get out of the house and have some fun with their kids that they can actually enjoy, too.  What a concept!

MinneapolisFrom their website:     All across the country, Baby Loves Disco is slowly but surely transforming the hippest night clubs into child proof discos as toddlers, pre-schoolers and parents looking for a break from the routine playground circuit let loose for some post naptime, pre-dinner fun. Make no mistake, this is NOT the Mickey Mouse club, and Barney is Banned. Baby loves disco is an afternoon dance party featuring real music spun and mixed by real djs blending classic disco tunes From the 70s, & 80s guaranteed to get those little booties moving and grooving.

How totally fun does that sound??  Maybe I can talk the hubby into going to the one in March…of course he hates dancing, but they do serve alcohol so maybe that will be the carrot I dangle.
