Well, it’s actually supposed to rain this weekend…shocker! It’s been pretty dry here lately, which is hard on our little plants. Especially since two of our outdoor faucets broke during the winter. Brian finally got them fixed this week, so they are now ready to give water so we don’t kill the money we put in the ground.
It’s another busy day ahead…t-ball rookie camp for Kai, playdate for Anya, Brian may be helping friends move and we may have them over for dinner. We’ll see how it all plays out.
The picture below is not the children looking directly into the sun, but trying to catch cottonwood seeds. Do you have one within a mile or 2 radius? Not sure?? Well, you would know by little fluffy things constantly falling from the sky. If it’s windy enough it looks like it is snowing. We have to put our hands over our wine glasses when we are sitting on the deck so the seeds don’t go in. It’s very annoying. 😉
Peonies are bloomin’
So are the roses
More roses…so pretty!
Lamium is bloomin’ too.
Hope everyone has a great weekend! 🙂
Flowers are beautiful, enjoy your day, it sounds busy.
great pic’s as always, You guys have good weekend also. nice to see a pic of your hubby. :o) since my Explanation (revenge) post of Rach I think that I will break her camera, I just know that there are going to be alot more of mine on her blog, (and they aint gonna be pretty) LOL
I will just have to go with what the Skipper says on Madagascar: Cute and cuddly boys, cute and cuddly…
What a sweet picture of your fam!
Your flowers are marvelous.
Absolutely love that first shot – how happy everyone is in it. Of course if it were a TRUE family photo and included you in it, my guess is that you’d be sitting with your hand over a glass of wine watching the rest of them happily jump around 🙂
And Mr. Daddy is in no way coming close to my Rebel… except to be the unknowing or unwilling subject of my next payback 🙂
Beautiful photos of the flowers – especially love that vivid first one! Like I say – your stuff is so frameworthy!
That first shot is AWESOME – I just love that Brian is OOF and laughing a big, bright, natural smile! Your flowers look gorgeous of course! Hope you have a great weekend!
The clarity in the second flower pic is breathtaking. I feel like I can reach out and stroke the leaves.
Don’t talk to us about water and gardens. The drought and water restrictions have taken a terrible toll on our garden. I just gave up about 12 months ago. The weeds of course have done ok. I suppose that’s why they are weeds 🙂
Fortunately there’s been a bit of rain here too over the last few weeks and I am psyching myself up to start tackling some clearing and soil improvement. The one good thing about Australia is that you can work on your garden all year round. Wait. Is that a good thing?? 😀
do you ever get tired of so much beauty surrounding you?? just wondering. 😉
OMG those cottomwood seeds are everywhere. It was basically snowing here today from the cottonwoods. They all look like they are having so much fun in that first shot. :0)
Heeyyyy…cottonwood season is one of my VERY FAVORITE times of the year! :p I used to look down the street in the middle of summer, and watch the snow…so completely magical! (Used to, cause I haven’t lived anywhere where the cottonwoods grow in years…Miss it!)
