It pours!
Brian and I think we have mono, but hey, we still have to work and take care of kids so we can’t exactly take 2 weeks off to rest. Kailan and Anya have wonderful colds, but at least they are getting over the crappy cough and now only have yucky snotty noses.
Incidentally, when I told Kai today that he couldn’t wipe his boogers on the sofa, he told me, “No like mommy”. Already getting WAY too much attitude from this wee little sprout.
Now, we have more house issues. Yay!! I noticed today that some water was dripping from a window moulding upstairs. New windows are only about $500, right??
Oh, and now Kailan doesn’t want to sleep in his bed anymore. Apparently it’s not Charmin soft or something and he only wants to sleep in a big fluffy bed. So…we may be putting his full size bed together and getting a new mattress set for him. Great…more things to spend money on. I’m going to guess he will want a pillow top AND memory foam since he is just that discerning. I’m sure he will have to jump on all of the beds at the mattress store before he finds one that is just right. Unfortunately for him he has a mean mommy and daddy and we don’t want to spend two grand on a mattress that will probably get peed on.
Oh, oh and then! Then, I used my sewing machine today. The sewing machine I bought over a year ago for about $450, because I wanted a GOOD machine. It’s broke. The fancy digital display is no longer displaying. However, I did get this new summer outfit made for Anya before it started wigging out on me:
What’s that old line….Calgon take me away!!
ARGHH! Don’t tell me those darn displays won’t work! I didn’t spend that much on my new machine, but that was one of my MAJOR concerns w/ going digital–with sewing! Can you call the manufacturer? Take that baby back…and buy a new mattress!!
What a craptastic time you’re having. Having mono sucks! Great job sewing btw.
Good news…my sewing machine isn’t broke! Whoot! Apparently I am too stupid to operate such a complicated piece of equipment…either that or I was too tired and frustrated. Maybe a bit of both. 🙂
