The kids were so excited about the toads that we had to go again last night. If we had went tonight, we would have been a bit like drowned rats. It has rained pretty constantly the last two days…which is good since we are below average for the year.
Here is the haul – around a dozen or so frogs. Kailan actually found some himself, and Anya didn’t want to pick any up herself. At first she did and then she got all “girl” and screeched and dropped them. We have to work on that. 😉
This was several hours after the latest shower…the ground was a little saturated
Hmmm…wonder where they are??
FOUND ONE!
No explanation needed on this one, right??
I asked them to stand together…and this is what I get. *sigh*
love the “stand together” bridge pic. at least they’re smiling pretty!
wow, it is *really* wet! you never told us you live in a swamp. 😉
Love the monochrome photo of the two seekers!
ha ha. that last photo is classic … with the explanation.
that’s quite a haul of toads !! are you keeping them as pets !? 🙂
I’m with Anya. Those things will jump right at your eyes and blind you. That’s what I hear at least, better be safe. Yuck. But send down the rain. We’ll take ALL of it.
Hard to beat a bowl of toads on a rain freshened summer day… LOL
Loved the picture story, they were all great.. (as per usual)
I think my favorite was Anya in her shirt (how could you not spoil her rotten???) LOL
Love the distance between them.
That’s a lot of toads. My kids would be in heaven.

Looks like an excellent time toad searching. There must be something about he little buggers because it seems like all kids like to catch them or frogs. When I was in CO in July my 3 year old nephew had 6 of them in an old water tank. 😉
My kids are obsessed with toads too. They love them. I have to admit they are kinda cute.
Haven’t stopped by in awhile and I’ve missed seeing those cute faces! Those toads are awesome!! My son would be in heaven!
Anya’s shirt cracks me up! And I love the shot of them “together” — too funny!
