For obvious reasons I didn’t have time to get any sewing done this week. I know, you are disappointed in me, right?? My superpowers are not what you thought! All that lifting heavy items and destroying my knees took away my superpowers.
At work on Monday I got asked how my back felt, and I told them, “My knees hurt so bad I didn’t feel my back hardly at all!” Ah, the lovely things that come with getting older and your body getting back at you for how carelessly you treated it during it’s youth.
I have my sewing area set back up, so hopefully I can get something done this week. We’ll see how it goes. It’s going to be a busy week again, so I’m not sure if I’m going to be able to get anything done. We’ve got our two builder friends here working on the house, and since they are from my hometown they have to stay overnight. That means I have 2 more mouths to feed for dinner and I have to have lunches for them.
So creativity is on hold for a little bit. In a few weeks I have an entire week off, that I will hopefully use to sew up the kids’ fall wardrobes and make Halloween costumes and baby presents and overall be quite productive. Until then…it will probably be sparse around here. Maybe.
At least I have something pretty to show. My lovely dahlias are blooming in the garden. There are a few of the new ones that haven’t quite popped up yet, and I can’t wait to see how they turn out, too. 🙂
Purty! And you’re forgiven re lack of super powers…..there are only so many hours in the day right????
There IS something…those are gorgeous! And all the aches and pains are going to be sooo worth it when you have an amazing basement to hang/craft/live in!
Plus…at least you have an excuse this week…I got nothing!
Beautiful dahlias. Don’t worry….I still think you are superwoman!! I am sure you will more than make up for it once you have a nice cush place to sew. Your basement set up sounds amazing.
It’s all in seasons isn’t it? Can’t wait to see your basement when it’s all done tho!
Gorgeous dahlias!!! just delicate and so full of color 🙂 I can almost smell them!
What a lazy thing you are. HA! Not hardly.
So there is an end to Stacy’s superpowers! I was beginning to wonder.
You said the “H” word, halloween. I was having a moment in walmart on Saturday when I saw infant halloween outfits already on display! I’ll stick with your lovely flower shots for the end of August. 😉
Wait! You HAD superpowers? Lucky!
Gorgeous flowers. I wish that we only had basements in SoCal. Seriously, 99% of homes out here don’t.
