I am hoping that the Fall frost will hold off long enough for our pretty dahlias to all bloom. They got a bit of a late start, and then a cool, dry summer didn’t encourage much growth. There are still a few of my new dahlias that have yet to bloom and I so want to see what they look like. Here is our collection so far. Next year I will be sure to plant them closer together. There’s a bit too much space between them all, but at least it is easier for me to go amongst them and take pictures. 🙂
GORGEOUS! One of my fave flowers. Too bad they don’t grow well here, but when I lived in Santa Barbara, I grew tons 🙂
They are stunning! I think they are one of my fave types of flowers, too. I’m glad they cooperated, or rather thrived despite the weather!
I think dahlias are officially my favorite flower. Well, and daffodils!
they are so beautiful Stacy … we have some Dahlia’s planted but they won’t bloom for a while … since our seasons are reversed …
they are all very beautiful. I think that the first one is my favorite…
don’t know why but ours didn’t do well this summer, Maybe neglect and not putting much time into them cause we thought that we would have to move them to build.. :o( enjoying the pics of yours though.
These are sooo pretty, Stacy! I hope you get to see them all to! I know I’ve missed a ton of your posts, but my reader is out of control, so I’m hitting “mark all as read” and starting over – I hope I didn’t miss too much!
Considering Martin’s pitch for max headroom was called mr meat I’m not surprised his stuff is morose. LOL
I’ve never actually read anything by him. Not that I have time now but may look him up some day.
Lovely dahlias as usual. 🙂
Stacy, amazing pictures.
Wish you lived next door so you could show me the ins and outs of photoshop CS3
My mums are beginning to bloom.
Have a great Labor Day
