…curly, wispy, a bit platinum in the sunshine. Those ringlets after the bath with water gently dripping off the ends of the delicate curls. Such sweetness…
When I imagined my baby girl as she dwelled in my belly, she was beautiful. To me…to us…that dream came to fruition.
I love her hair. Just LOVE IT. She does not have my hair, which was the dark blonde, stick-straight, thick hair like Kailan’s. She has hair from Daddy’s family. It is fine and blonde. It curls in ringlets after her bath and poofs out after her nap. Her hair isn’t tight curls, but gentle riglets. I have yet to cut any of her curls and don’t really forsee that happening in the near future.
I really hope she keeps her curls. Her cousin lost her curls by this age, so we are hopeful.
All I know is that I just love them. Those little shining ringlets of fine blonde hair just itch to be touched and loved. I’m sure when I look back fondly of the memories I have from when she was little, her curls will be foremost in my mind. I will remember her smells and her gentle ringlets as I sing her yet another song in her darkened room before night-night time.
Those smells, those sounds, those silky ringlets will be embedded in my memories.
She does have awesome hair. I’m only a LITTLE BIT jealous b/c M’s hair is nearly nonexistant, won’t hold a bow for all the money in the world.
I love her curls, too. Nicky’s hair was like that when he was small, and I finally cut it when he was 16 months old because he was beginning to be mistaken for a girl every time we went out. When I cut them off they were gone, never to return. I was sad. But I still have them, in a little baggie. Every single one.
Natalie, M’s hair will grow in eventually. Kai didn’t have hair for awhile, too, and then it came in really thick. So, there is hope!
Alissa, that is part of the reason that I don’t want to cut it…I’m afraid her curls won’t come back and that would make me very sad, too.
Stacy, in my comment on your photo of the day, I told you I love her “wispy” hair. I loved reading your thoughts.
Melody, we were thinking along the same thoughts today weren’t we? 🙂
