Exactly 9 years ago today I married my best friend. Where has the time gone? That means we have been together for over 11 years. Wow, we are getting SO OLD!
Here we are…younger and thinner, smacking faces. Apparently I only scanned in the kissy kissy pictures since this was all I could find. Don’t tell the copyright police. Our photographer didn’t exactly deliver the best product, and we were fairly broke, so we didn’t order any prints at the time. Finally after we were married for about five years I scanned them in and printed a few. I probably would have bought the CD from him but he never contacted us after he gave us the pictures. Perhaps that technology wasn’t available back before the wheel was invented.
We got married in the same church that my parents got married in and where I was baptized. It was the same elderly Irish Catholic priest. A nice man, but he was just a bit old school. After the wedding we partied til we could party no more with our good friends and close family. It was quite a fun time.
Then we had a very relaxing vacation in Cozumel, Mexico, where we proceeded to party some more. Margaritas are a food source, right?? I had never been to a place before that had no clocks. At first it was a bit disconcerting, but after awhile the freedom was wonderful!
Happy Anniversary, hunny! I didn’t get you a card, but that new plasma they are installing today will suffice as the gift…deal??
I hear margaritas and daquiris are healthy because the alcohol brings out the antioxidants!
Those pics look great!
Happy Anniversary! Mine’s coming up–8 years for us.
Happy, happy day!!!! So happy for you. I can’t wait to hear if he likes his new toy.
Happy Anniversary! We almost share the same special date – ours is tomorrow, the 4th! Four years for us.
Thanks ladies! Sounds like a few of us have anniversaries here, huh?
As for the pictures…you know I had to edit them LOL! The first one I did a quick conversion to b&w and put a “glow” on it, and cropped out the pews. The second one I did the same conversion and cropped out the CARS. The photographer tried to go all artsy and took a photograph of our program and blended it with a picture of us at the altar. The only problem was he was holding the program when he took the picture and his big ole thumb was in the middle bottom. Classy.
Oh man! I didn’t actually forget about your anniversary, but I forgot to tell you happy anniversary!! What a bad sister I am! (card’s in the mail, well, not just yet, but it will be!) Anyway, happy anniversary to my little brother and his beautiful wife! I couldn’t have asked for a better sis! Love ya!
Thanks Susie! Don’t worry about it! 🙂 Love ya too!
