It is what she wanted. She has been asking me to cut her hair for many, many months. Finally, I agreed. Acquiesced to her little will. I have found that swimming is not conducive to fine, long blond hair. The dry, cold air of winter makes it very static-y, too. Hopefully it will be easier to deal with now that three some inches are gone. She can always grow it out later. *sob*
Really, as it belies her expression here…she does love her new shorter hair. She’s just giving me the “Are you done YET?” expression. 😉 She was so excited to go back to daycare on Monday to show her little girlfriend’s her new shorter hair.
she is sooo stinkin’ cute!!
She really is. I think they, like us, like the newness of it. V’s hair is already grown out but she hasn’t mentioned a cut again. It looks like so much lying in that pile. It’s sweet on her.
Love her expression, I get that one a lot too. It’s like are you done, can I move now? I bet her hair looks thicker too with a few inches off.
It looks thick lying in that pile too! 🙁 So sad for you but hey! It will grow right? And after all, looking at that photo, she still has ‘long’ hair. No one would dare call that gorgeous, ‘longer than her shoulders’ hair ‘short’!!
It will be long again before you know it. I am sure it is going to be so much easier to take care of now eventhough it still looks pretty long to me. ; ) I do love those looks that you get.
Look at those gorgeous locks. She still looks so lovely, but quite grown up.
Some kids love the haircut. But only when it’s on their time table. 😉 W.W. is like that. He starts begging to go and then sits and flirts with the stylist while he sits in the chair. It’s too cute. I bet she enjoyed sharing her new look with all her friends.
You might remember Em’s foray into cutting her hair shorter last year, too. It kills you, but it is so very much easier! I think it looks adorable on Anya, but yes…she does look grown up a bit!
She is darling whatever the length!
She is still cute! I think the hair look very nice. And some people just don’t want the long hair. Just a warning, my daughter had that lovely white blond hair, and when she was a teenager, she shaved it off one time, and another time she came home with black hair! Enjoy her now.
That first photo is just so darling of her!!!
even with that much cut off – it’s still not SHORT! I bet you will both grow to love it…so much easier! I like N’s hair short. She looks darling either way.
Very cute! I need to cut Katelyn’s hair again.
She is adorable and her hair is still long enough to put up and play with! I love the picture of her hair by itself. What a great memory picture.
