Ok, now you make think how nice it would be have a little girl rather than a teenage one. 😉 However, my son is equally into the nerf guns, and somehow my husband seems all too happy to play along. LOL
Sadly I have to agree that in my experience the differences are totally innate. My friends and I gave our boys and girls the same kind of toys, non-violent DVDs and exemplary role models. When we reached the forest one day at the age of two, the boys instinctively picked up\sticks and started fight-mg.
I am blown away by how it seems to be ingrained into the very DNA of most kids… I banned toy weapons from the house, and yet Itty Bit knew EXACTLY what to do with the Nerf sword in the store. And (ahem) Mr. Daddy did too. I have *not* broken up several Nerf sword fights between my “boys” at the store.
What a great shot – this belongs in a contest somewhere. Or as the visual for an article about gender differences!
Ha, that is too funny. And an awesome moment to capture.
