About a month or so ago I looked over and saw that I hit the 10,000 comments mark on my blog.  Of course, I’ve actually received more than that, since it was only the approved comments.  I think I had 50,000 spam comments when I moved my blog over to this domain name.  Thank you, Akismet (WordPress spam filter)!

I figured I would celebrate the joyous occasion by making something for the 10,000 commenter, and guess who was so lucky?  Joanna!  It gave us the perfect opportunity to finally meet in person! 🙂

I let her pick what she wanted me to make.  She chose a knitted baby hat, which was probably the easiest thing she could have chosen for me to do.  It takes time, but it is something I can do while watching TV or waiting for Anya at dance class.  She said she was all pinked out, so I went a deep smoky purple route with the color.  The cream is an organic cotton yarn and it so wonderfully soft.  Sweeeet!  She told me that she will for sure take some pictures of the little babe wearing it, so I can’t wait to see those. 🙂

That is the extent of the craftiness I have to show for the week…and I didn’t even do that last week!  No…not much was accomplished in the past few weekends, as we have been pretty busy.  I do have to get Anya’s birthday dress made this week and then I want to make Kailan a few pair of pants.  Hopefully, I can get it done.

Anya’s birthday party is on Saturday, but she doesn’t turn 5 until Monday.  We only do friend birthday parties every other year, so no party with her friends this time.  She will bring some cupcakes to class, though, so at least that’s a little celebration with her peeps. 🙂
