I seem to be having a hard time lately putting up the “what’s going on here” posts. *sigh* I need to keep up with that because I haven’t even started working on 2009 scrapbooking, so this little blog needs to journal our lives for right now. Lord know I can’t remember *hit these days, so I need to have it written down!
Anyways, so for Earth Day we didn’t do anything with the kids. Luckily daycare and Kindergarten have taken upon themselves to teach our kids how to be eco conscious and Earth friendly. I think each of them planted something.
They don’t need to worry about teaching the kids how to plant things, though. We will soon be planting lots of stuff in the ground. It appears that spring is here to stay; however, with that volcano putting its darn ash up into the atmosphere our weather might be cool again this summer. Dang it! We already have had a few crappy summers in a row…can’t we catch a break??
Brian is still gimping along, so we haven’t been breaking ground too much. We actually have a cubic yard of rock that needs to get put into the landscaping. I have a feeling that I may be in charge of the wheelbarrow, since I can actually walk. Maybe that will work off the few pounds that I have gained since Lent ended and my chocolate gorging began. Someone lend me some self control!
Kai now has TWO bottom teeth coming in. No sign of the top teeth yet, though. They look like they are ready to break through the surface any day now, but they have looked like that for months. Hopefully soonish he will get some top toofers.
Anya had her dance pictures today in her costume. It’s pretty cute. They said to do their hair and makeup, so Anya got to be all gussied up. I can’t tell you how excited she was to get some makeup put on her. Yep, she’s definitely of my womb. I had to put a flower in her hair that came with the costume, but it was just a loose silk flower. I’m not sure how most mom’s that don’t own glue guns and barrette making supplies handle it, but thankfully…I’ve got it covered.
Did I mention spring has sprung…
I also had a photoshoot on Thursday for a little 6 month baby boy. He totally reminded me of Kai…such a little chunker. Kai was out of his clip-in carseat by 6 months because he had exceeded the 20 lbs weight limit. This little guy isn’t quite 20 lbs, but he is close!
Tomorrow we are headed up north for our Brother-in-law’s 50th birthday. Apparently he isn’t taking this age landmark the best, so I’m going to make sure we get some “good cards”. Bwwaaahahahhaha!
Have fun at the party. Well if it is a party.
Love the 6 month olds pictures. The bw one with the sharp eyes is my favorite.
Yep spring is here too…..
sounds like you guys are in the same boat as us way to much to do and not enough time to do it….LOL
