Last week it rained, and rained, and rained. It also brought several storm systems through the area with a few tornados. Luckily, no tornadoes too close to us, but this night the skies were definitely on the sinister side.

That photo is breathtaking, but frightening to me. We live in a tornado prone area and a huge one hit a few miles from our house 2 years ago. I hate tornadoes a lot. I wish we had a basement here, but we do have a storm shelter.

Sinister is an excellent adjective for those clouds! Yikes! The picture reminds of Chris Van Allsburg…nothing extraordinary, but definitely extraordinary. Does that make sense?
