In the words of Sally Field, “you like me, you really like me!”

In the last few weeks I received a few awards from my fellow bloggers, my girls, moms who take it upon themselves to let the world know who rules their home…the kids.  We trill away at their cutenesses, which, of certain, will probably come back to haunt them in their teenage years.   When we aren’t shaking our heads in amazement at their ability to evolve before our very eyes, we are taking lots and lots of pictures of them.  Lots.

I rock

Amy awarded me the rocking girl blogger award.  In what, I believe, was quite the serendipitous moment, we had actually gone to a Tool concert the night before.  How did she know I rocked so hard??  Really it is great to know that another lady thinks I’m rockin’ my mid-thirties.  Although the hubby did have to point out that the acrid smell at the concert was ganja since I didn’t know what the heck that was.  Nasty.

Thanks, girl, you rock, too!

Now I need to send on the blog-love and award this to other gals that rock:

Natalie, Colleen, Christina, and Jen, you rock!  All these ladies are first time moms with super cute toddlers.  They document the joy of discovering how to be a child again as they relive it through their little ones’ eyes.

I think

Melody also awarded me the Thinking Blog award.  Can you believe it??  Now, I understand how she got it, but passing it along to me??  I’m honored.

When I started blogging, it began as just random stories and photos of our little cuties.  I needed to keep our families informed of all the goings on in our part of the universe.  It has evolved to a bit more than that now, and sometimes I feel like I should have a separate blog for all the other stuff, but since I only have so many hours in the day, I talked myself out of that one.  So, I hope that I make others think, or laugh, or want to go out and sew and take lots of pictures.  Mostly I want you to enjoy your kids and take some time to enjoy activities you like to do.  It is possible, you just need to make it happen.

Here’s some more blog-love for ladies that make me think.  Now, on some I’m a lurker, so I’m not going to go over there and say, “hey, you’re tagged!!”, but I want to show you a few blogs that make me think.

Alissa –  She puts herself out there and isn’t afraid to talk about some of the harder parts of motherhood.  She is real, and also a talented photographer.

Amy – Now I know she’s been tagged for this before, so she doesn’t need to tag anyone else.  She is a “crunchy” gal and isn’t afraid to talk about it.  What some people would shy away from, she embraces and puts herself out there.  You gotta respect that.

Heather – This lady was diagnosed with a brain tumor and through it all still praises God.  She has been through so much, and still her belief is just astounding.

Kate – Her words are beyond touching.  She gave birth to her twins early, with one passing away.  She shares her pain and her words are searing.  You can’t help but go hug your kids after reading her posts.

Thanks for the love!
