Tonight we went on a walk after dinner, since the weather has cooled down considerably. Additionally, today was their last day at daycare, along with a lot of other kids. Many families brought in sugar laden treats…while we opted for the salty chip variety. We figured they needed a walk to get some of the sugar out. Since they didn’t start complaining until we were most of the way home – instead of half way – it was a much needed walk. The sun was setting by the time we arrived home, so we can see our walk days are getting numbered. We need to take advantage of it while we can. 🙂
This summer has been rather hot and humid, so we have spent the minimum amount of time outside. We didn’t go out for much family exercise, opting for hibernating in the air conditioning. Our kids don’t know how good they have it…we didn’t have that when we were growing up and we had to SUFFER. Add that to the list of luckiness they have.
The hour before sunset is definitely a nice time of day for a walk…photographically speaking. I always seem to get some nice shots of the kids. Perhaps next time I will clean them up and comb their hair. Ah well…we can’t have everything. 😉
OH, that shot of Anya is absolutely stunning. Now to look up what a cockleburr is. Looks very pokey and prickley but bigger than any sticker I’ve ever seen.
Yep, fall in definitely in the air….
great pictures. good to see you posting again….LOL
opener in 3 days.. all the guys necks a starting to swell…LOL
your kids are getting so big. Itty bit started soccer practice the other day..
were does the time get to????
Gorgeous shot Stacy!
It is starting to feel like fall here too, at least in the early morning and later evening…and I LOVE it! it’s marvelous to go outside and not immediately melt into a puddle of sweat. 🙂 the kids sure have done some growing this summer!
She is SO you…and he is SO him. You guys are lovely.
Fall…not even a hint here.
Nice shots. They remind me of the end of summer too. Although I can’t imagine excitement over cockle burs. We go riding and the horses come back covered underneath and their tails are an absolute mess. We could solve that fascination in a heartbeat. 😉
I also have to agree with the humidity. For some reason this past summer has felt more humid even down here and that just feels off.
Beautiful, Stacey!! Can’t wait for fall to hit here.. I am SOOOO ready!
Big hug.. Amy
You pictures of bw are so moody. I love them. Fall is a great time of year, but it means winter is coming and I sad for that.
We are feeling the fall too!! Lovely photos of your cuties.
What a great sunflare shot over the water. Just beautiful. I also love the color shot of Anya. She looks so grown up!
