Although it has been very dry this summer, we still have some flowers growing…
These first two are in planters next to our front door.
This is a planter by the road. There used to be a tree here that died, so Brian just put up a nice stone raised planter instead of putting grass over or trying to dig up the roots. Don’t mind the weed growing out of the flowers…just an added bit of greenery! 😉
Lots of petunias! They love direct sunlight and grow like mad in mid-summer, so they are perfect annuals for summer color.
Just beautiful. I love petunias.
Totally unrelated…I have to tell you… every single time I open your blog through AOL it freezes. I’m not sure what the problem is. I open your site, and the next thing, the top of my screen says “not responding”. Has anyone else mentioned this problem, or is it just me? I open you through firefox no problem though. Quick as could be. Oh well.
I LOVE petunias. However, I am death to petunias. I can grow many, many things, and I have luck with plants that no one else around here can keep alive. But give me a petunia and it’s a goner in a week or two. Yours are lovely.
Oh, and I have a planter built over a tree stump, too 🙂
Gorgeous!! I wish I could grow flowers like that!
Like Colleen, I sometimes have problems with launching your blog your blog through AOL too…about the half the time it freezes on me.
Thanks for letting me know about AOL! I don’t have that so I didn’t know that was an issue. Is that recent? There is an upgrade to WordPress that I need to do, so hopefully that will fix it. It is such a pain in tush to have to save over all the files so I just hadn’t done it yet.
Oh and thanks for the compliments on the flowers. I love the color since our lawn is turning brown from lack of water. 🙁
