Am I being premature with this?? Well, I hope not! Anya is now in underpants at night, and she even gets up to go potty in the middle of the night if she needs to go. How about that!!
We weren’t expecting (or pushing) her to be potty trained at 26 months old, but here she is. I guess our lack of ambition in this area did NOT rub off on our little girl. She still needs assistance since she has a hard time getting her clothes off and back on. We don’t have a little potty so she either needs a stool or adult help to get up on the pot. Overall, it has gone very well.
Yay to no diapers!! Now, I have to decide what I am going to do to her room since the changing table is no longer needed…
Congratulations. We haven’t started potty training at all. Zoe just turned 2… and she shows no interest at all. I’m hoping when the time comes, Zoe does as well as Anya!
Yay! for the big girl! I can’t wait to see your re-decorating results. 🙂
That’s awesome! Way to go Anya!
Thanks, ladies. I know we have been extremely lucky with how well our kids have taken to being PT. Even though Kai was almost 3 when we trained him, it only took a month for both day and night…just like Anya. And no issues going #2, which I have heard a lot of parents lament about. Amazing!
Hey, great! It’s like getting a raise! What will you spend all that diaper money on? Hmmm…
No diaper even at night? Wow, that’s amazing! I guess sometimes lack of amotion pays off. ;o) I’m following your example in that….Nadia’s at 20 months now with almost no interest in using the potty, so I’m not pushing it at all.
ack, that’s supposed to be “ambition” I need to watch what I type!
Well, maybe I was premature…she woke up at 4am wet. Oh well, there is bound to be accidents!
Christina, it is wise to not push…they will train when they get interested and usually not before. Besides at 20 months they can’t really even try to get their clothes on and off very well, so it’s a lot more work for YOU!
Yahoo! I’m hoping our little A. follows suit. We are doing well during the day, so we’ll keep our fingers crossed. Good job, Anya!!
