It was a beautiful day today at the orchard, with a lovely unseasonably warm 80 degrees. It was a perfect day to be outside. Apparently everyone else in the metro thought so, too, since it was CROWDED. Nothing like going outside of the city and have to deal with throngs of people. Still…it was nice being outside and walking around and just doing something.
I dressed the kids so I could get some pictures while out there.
It was a nice time while we were there, except when you had to stand in line for everything. As you can see I didn’t get a picture of any apples. Most of the trees had already been picked over, so we just walked the trails and did the corn maze. We were ready to go about the time that Anya collapsed on the ground after eating 3 hot, fresh apple donuts because her tummy hurt and she just could not walk another step.
Yep, it was time to go!
So I’m guessing the pictures were *before* the apple donut collapse of 2010? 🙂
It looks like a beautiful day to have been outside!
Great shots! they make me feel warm and sunny just looking at them. But all references to toddlers will have to be removed from your blog soon! (or have they already??)Those are two BIG KIDS!!!! Had to laugh at Anya’s bruised shins too. I have photos of me at that age…exactly the same! I guess we are just go-ers and do-ers!! Oh, and collapsers. I remember effecting some pretty dramatic collapses in my time 😀 My mother just rolled her eyes.
Great shots, it was totally opposite here cloudy and rainy….glad you guys had a good time.
I’m so jealous. I have such fond memories of apple orchards as a kid…and there simply aren’t any around down here. 🙁
