We have a few of these bushes in our yard, and in the Fall they turn into a deep rich red. These bushes are some of the few that are still holding onto their pretty leaves. This Fall has actually been rather nice. The weather is turning colder now, but we had some nice warm stretches and few surprisingly warm days. A complete 180 from last year, where the spring was cold, the summer was cold, and the Fall was cold…then of course, winter was freezing. At least this year it felt like we had a summer.
Still not looking forward to the winter weather, though. It snowed a little on Wednesday. Brrrrrr….
Hopefully your winter won’t be too bad this year. Snow already? Brrr is right.
This is my OFFICIAL invitation. Any time you need to get away from snow and cold weather, come to Macon, GA. We are right in the middle of the state, there is relatively little to do here (no beach, no mountains, nothing really exciting), but it almost never snows and when it does, it lasts about 12 hours. And it doesn’t get that cold around here. We’re having our first “cold snap” where the highs are between 55-60 and the lows at night are “freezing” at 33. Honestly, this is about as cold as it gets around here. Sometimes in January, we’ll have a few days when we don’t break 40, but those days are not often.
